Hello, I’m Paula Fleming, a professional Orchardist, qualified gardener and keen fruit grower based in the UK.
I currently manage the Orchard at Le manoir aux quat’saisons in Oxfordshire, UK. Before that I was an Orchard worker on a fruit farm in Northamptonshire before being promoted to Orchard and Staff Supervisor. I often get asked advice and consult with people on various top, stone and soft fruit projects. However, there’s still much to learn and I’ve started this blog to help others and myself on this fruit-based adventure!
I’m particularly interested in grasping a greater understanding of biodiversity in orchards and fruit gardens. Learning to work with climate change and being more sustainable in fruit growing practices, learning to be a better grower all-round and networking with like-minded people with similar goals whilst keeping orchards alive in the UK.
